ARTIVIST is an arts and culture organization comprised of an art patrons club, a non-profit artist in residency program, and an art collection based in Seoul.

We are an incubator for artistic inspiration and collaboration, providing a supportive environment where artists can experiment, create, cultivate new relationships and share their work with a wider audience.

Our mission is to contribute positively to the cultural landscape by nurturing artistic talent and promoting thoughtful patronage.

Advisors

Susan Shin is an art collector and the founder of Shin Advisors, a global brand strategy and marketing consultancy specializing in art/design/culture, fashion/lifestyle and technology, as well as philanthropy advisory. Prior to establishing Shin Advisors, Susan was an intellectual properties lawyer at the premier firm of Goodwin, where she led the Trademark practice, and an adjunct professor at New York University Law School.

As a luxury brand strategist, Susan has worked with and has relationships with some of the most prominent fashion and lifestyle brands in the world, with access to top level management, special events and brand experiences. Susan has also worked or collaborated with notable artists, art fairs, art galleries, auction houses and museums, such as Art Basel, Frieze Art Fair, The Armory Show, Galerie Gmurzynska, Opera Gallery, the American Museum of Natural History, Art Institute of Chicago, MOMA and the Victoria & Albert Museum, amongst others.

Susan serves on the boards of several non-profit organizations, has chaired numerous galas, and has been featured in various media for her philanthropy, her business and social profile, including Bloomberg, Daily Front Row, New York Times, New York Post, Wall St. Journal, W Magazine, WWD, Vogue, Town & Country, Korea Times, Korea Herald, Fox News, CNN, etc.

She is also the Arts and Culture Advisor to WWD Korea and serves on the Advisory Boards of several skincare, art, fashion and Web3 oriented companies.

Born in Korea, and educated in the United States (BA from Columbia University, JD from Cornell Law, MA from Georgetown Law), Susan lives between NYC, Europe and Seoul. She is bilingual (Korean and English) and is proficient in French and Spanish.

Afrodet Zuri is an accomplished international curator and art advisor based in New York. She has a master's degree in Contemporary Art from the Institute for Art at Sotheby's and is a founding member of several prestigious art institutions. She is the founding Co-chair of Storm King Art Center’s Storm King Circle young patrons group, a founding Contemporary of the Whitney Museum and a founding Patron of Fotografiska Museum.

Her curatorial projects include a retrospective at the Museum of Modern Art in Moscow, year-round arts programming for the Four Seasons Beverly Hills, the first-ever NFT exhibition at the World Trade Center and an exhibition for The Gateway activation hosted by nft now & Christies during Art Basel Miami.

She serves as a key advisor to the Web3 digital media platform, nft now, as well as an advisor and Curator at Large to the creator platform, Blockparty. She is known for her expertise in advising fashion and luxury brands on arts and Web3 strategy.

Born in Israel to Palestinian and Israeli parents, educated in Europe and the United States, she is fluent in English & Arabic and proficient in Spanish.
